In Week 10 of Term 2, students from Mr Thomson鈥檚 Year 12 Engineering Studies went on an excursion to Bankstown Airport, assisted by bus driver, Mr Arblaster. They were hosted by Mr David Simons of Auto Avia. The students were able to talk to practicing aeronautical engineers about their current projects. They also visited hangars where a wide variety of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft are maintained. It was an authentic experience of real applications of what the students have been learning in class. Thanks to Mr Thomson, Mr Arblaster and to Mr Simons and his staff.
