Birds that live around THS

5 Images in this album

During the school holidays one of our staff members Mr Ernest Lee (Maths Faculty) shared some of his bird photos with all our staff.
We thought the photos were so good we had to share.
Enjoy.

"Some of the birds that come to THS are the Rainbow Lorikeet, Cockatoo, Minors and Kookaburras. In 2020, one of my year 11 students told me that a Kookaburra had taken his Drumstick at lunch. Mrs Lucas in the Office tells me that Cockatoos are LEFT Footed.

There is a pair of yellow masked lapwing living at the school. There are two nests of swallows too. They come back every year and successfully produce babies.

Other birds you can see within the school grounds include the Australian Pigeon, Red Galah, Magpie, Crimson Rosella, King Parrots and Wattle Birds."
