On Thursday of Week 9, our Year 9 and Year 10 students were privileged to experience a captivating incursion led by Shane Blackman from WWI Living History.
The students were enthralled with the impressive collection of antiques and recreations, sharing the compelling stories behind each piece.
Shane discussed a wide range of topics, including lice, trench foot, bayonets, poisonous gases, rats, barbed wire, artillery, rifles, and tinned corned beef, detailing the myriad horrors soldiers faced.
