Georgia and Georgia were able to organise a week of Year 10 work experience at our local West Pymble Public School. They were given the opportunity to assist the teachers in the classroom as well as out on the sporting fields and got to see what it was like being at school from the teacher鈥檚 perspective.
Both girls assisted at the sports carnival helping with the management of the students and the running of events. They also worked with the Kindy and Year One students helping with their reading. They experienced assisting the Year Five and Six students with practicing their Maths time tables.
The girls both loved the experience of working in a primary school and exclaimed that they didn鈥檛 expect it to be as tiring as it was.
Despite heading home each afternoon exhausted, they are still considering teaching as a potential career.
