On Tuesday 2 July, our Year 12 Engineering Studies classes visited the internationally known boat building company McConaghy Boats at Gosford.
The event started with a tour of the facility seeing some of the current work and application of the fibre composite materials.聽
The tour included seeing some applications of contemporary manufacturing processes like 3D printing and CNC milling and their application at McConaghy Boats.
This event gave the students an opportunity to gain experience in a commercial environment that cannot be taught in the classroom.
