On Wednesday Yr 12 Food Technology students braved the cold and rain to attend a fabulous excursion to the Turramurra Community Garden and Mc Donalds.
They have been studying the operational features of Mc Donalds as a multinational company, as part of their studies in the Australian Food Industry Unit.
The students got a behind-the-scenes tour of the kitchens and stock rooms and gained a lot from a personal Q and A session with the store Franchisee.
At the Turramurra Community Garden, students were able to appreciate the importance of local initiatives in Food Sustainability and link their knowledge and understanding of farming techniques and the concept of Paddock to Plate within the Food Production Industry in Australia.
